Drugs Medications: Ranitidine 75mg Tablet
Ranitidine is a type of medicine known as an H2 blocker. It functions by reducing the production of stomach acid to relieve heartburn and other symptoms related to excess acid in your stomach. This drug is primarily used for treating heartburn, indigestion, and to prevent them by limiting acidic content.
Note: All products contning ranitidine have been removed from the U.S. market at the request of the FDA due to safety concerns, indicating possible cancer-causing impurities found in some ranitidine products.
To treat heartburn and acid indigestion, take a single tablet usually 1 or 30-60 mg with water when needed but not more than once every 24 hours unless otherwise directed by your healthcare provider.
For preventing heartburn: Take the tablet about half an hour before eating food or consuming beverages that might cause indigestion.
Dosage Limitation: Do not exceed 2 tablets within 24 hours and ensure to follow all instructions on the product label or as directed by a doctor.
